Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024 Cast

With Sonic the Hedgehog 3 months away from shooting, we can expect a lot from Paramount and while we know that most of the cast from the first 2 films will reprise their roles, some of us right now are speculating on which characters will joining the current rooster for the third installment.

For now, I like to present to you the potential voice cast for Sonic the Hedgehog 3:

Ben Schwartz, we know will reprise his role as Sonic the Hedgehog

Colleen Villard will be back to voice Miles Tails Prower again for sure

and Idris Elba will be back to crush the stage as the voice of Knuckles the Echidna

Now for the new characters we expect to appear in the threequel:

With Shadow the Hedgehog having cameoed at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and with G.U.N., and US government military agency having made its live action debut, fans want Sonic's next rival to be voiced by an actor who has amazed many action thriller fans across the globe and John Wick actor Keanu Reeves is so far the #1 choice for voicing Shadow.

As for other popular characters from the Sonic franchise, Amy Rose is highly expected to make her live action appearance for the third film much likely as someone for Tom and Maddie to introduce to the blue hedgehog as a potential date and while many are speculating whether or not someone like Anna Kendrick or Zendaya could pull off voicing the character, some including myself would love for a Latin American actress to provide the voice for Amy and for her to be voiced by a Latina born in the US with a voice more casual than anonymous, Alyssa Diaz from The Rookies series should be up to the task on voicing Amy.

Since she has officially begun her voice over career in Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2 and since she plays a character in The Rookie who falls in love with Shawn Ashmore's character, she should be quite a fascinating candidate to pull off voicing the live action version of Sonic's energetically self-proclaimed girlfriend. Especially since she played a redneck woman with attitude from the Ray Donovan series.

For others like Rogue, many can't seem to make up their mind on who should voice the bat, but my best pick is Scarlett Johansson

As for the villain of the film, if Jim Carrey does not return to reprise his role as Doctor Eggman, then Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is likely to feature an enemy of Shadow the Hedgehog who fans are most familiar with from the 2005 video game and his name is Black Doom.

For Black Doom to sound sinister and epic, Ray Donovan's Liev Schriber would be magnificent lending his for this character and because G.U.N. plays a pivotal role in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series, Black Doom is the best bet on a villain besides Eggman who would pull off a tremendous fight against Sonic and Shadow.

As for the human cast

James Marsden will be sure to reprise his role as Tom once more.

Tika Sumter as Maddie

Adam Pally as Tom's friend Wade

Tom Butler as G.U.N. commander Walters

and let's not forget Lee Majdoub as Eggman's right-hand man Agent Stone who will be sure to wake Shadow up from his capsule.

and as for newcomers, Rosa Salazar should be welcome to reunite with Adam Pally since their work in Night Owls where she would play a fellow deputy and love interest of Wade's.

Others would involve Gary Oldman for Eggman's grandfather Gerald Robotnik

and a young actress to play Maria Robotnik as well.
